No one knows better than a parent about how quickly things change. We think we have set a course or hit a groove, and then something comes along, and we need to make new plans. Some of these are expected, of course- a new baby, the first day of preschool, starting kindergarten, a graduation, but many of these are unpredictable, a health issue, an accident, a natural disaster. This is in fact, life. In our respective journeys through life, therefore, we have to learn to be resilient, to ask for help and support when needed and give the same in return and find the joy in the everyday little wonders. At this time, my life detour is taking me out of state, so it is with a sad but hopeful heart, that I am saying Goodbye to Fifth Avenue Pediatrics. Thank you everyone for the smiles, the stories, all the laughs, and even the tears that meant we have shared a connection. I want to thank all the parents who have allowed me the privilege of taking care of their children over the last year. It has been my true honor and pleasure for the opportunity to do so.
Best wishes and good luck to everyone,
Tanya Liberato, M.D.
